Crain had long produced custom print materials to reach a sophisticated audience for this 125+ year institution. Spectacular print programs for individual events — along with an overarching annual program — targeted aficionados and professionals throughout Chicago.
But print cannot hit a high note alone. So we created the CSO eNotes app: an immersive digital version of the printed program, promoted to patrons through email and other communication channels.
Engaging and expertly written notes about the music. In-depth biographies of performers. Snapshot profiles of CSO musicians. Feature-length articles and more. The eNotes app had it all, and was downloaded over a thousand times by patrons in search of a more engaging experience before and after each performance. Bravissimo.
